Job Description Summary

About URI:

BASIC FUNCTION:

Under the direction of the Assistant Director, Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) at the University of Rhode Island, be responsible for establishing short-and-long range plans and goals to achieve organization membership objectives with a focus on member engagement, retention, and recruitment strategies. Oversee the administration of the OLLI at URI member registration software.

Duties and Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepare and update the membership database for the catalog mailings and the annual appeal mailing.

Maintain ongoing communication with Modern Campus/Lumens for upgrades and review of the outstanding corrective action ticket items.

Update member profiles.

Monitor daily membership stats in relation to the budget projections.

Coordinate and oversee member parking registration.

In the area of MEMBER ENGAGEMENT:

Coordinate all member relation procedures, recruitment, sales, orientation, renewals, communication, and outreach to lapsed members.

Schedule and offer monthly Member Welcome and Orientation meetings.

Develop and administer Member Satisfaction Surveys and focus groups.

Coordinate all membership special events and monthly lobby activities.

In the area of ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTING:

Provide monthly statistical reports related to membership, acquisition, and retention.

Prepare and deliver new member welcome calls.

Prepare and send monthly advance emails to those members due for renewal. Identify and prepare upcoming member renewal listings for personal phone calls for ease of registration.

In the area of DAILY OPERATIONS:

Create a welcoming environment and friendly reception, providing optimum customer service for all OLLI members.

Ensure physical space (lobby, classroom, office) is organized and presentable for member activity.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform additional duties as required.

LICENSES, TOOLS, AND EQUIPMENT:

Personal computers, printers; word processing; spreadsheet software. Microsoft Office. Google Suite.

Required Qualifications

REQUIRED :

1. Bachelor's degree in human services, business, or related field.

2. Minimum two years of professional experience working with and supporting volunteers.

3. Demonstrated experience in project management.

4. Demonstrated strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.

5. Demonstrated proficiency in written communication skills.

6. Demonstrated organizational skills.

7. Demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups/populations.

8. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

9. Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications

PREFERRED :

1. Demonstrated ability to work with senior adults.

2. Demonstrated familiarity with registration management software.
