OVERVIEW Under regular supervision performs grounds keeping and maintenance duties for the ASC Greenway to create a safe, clean, and aesthetically pleasing environment. Must be able to work a flexible schedule.

KEY FUNCTIONS Regularly assists with ASC Greenway events to include early mornings, some nights and weekends; on-call rotation schedule Routinely preforms grounds keeping maintenance (i.e. soil preparation and grading, aeration, sodding, seeding, mowing, mulching, trimming of bushes and shrubs; performs pruning activities on trees, shrubs and plants; removal of dead, diseased or injured trees; plants trees, shrubs and other greenery (i.e. perennials, annuals and ornamental flowers) Safety first. Understands and maintains a safe work environment at all times Reviews safety procedures before beginning each job with known hazards; follows safety rules/procedures while completing work; avoids known hazards; wears PPE (personal protective equipment) as needed Inspects equipment for routine maintenance to assure efficiency and safety; ensures truck is equipped with all necessary equipment for the day's assignment (i.e. water cooler, first-aid kit, tools, needed supplies for project etc.) Operates and maintains a variety of equipment (i.e. mower, weed-eater, pressure washer, chainsaw, pruning equipment, tractor, backhoe, loaders, trenchers, ladder and various hand tools) Assists facility maintenance techs as needed All other duties as assigned THE LSC WAY Our culture is a top priority. High School Diploma or equivalent 1-2 years of related experience working in grounds and/or maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must regularly lift and/or carry, push, or pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds or more. Frequently required to walk, climb or balance, and talk or hear. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to adjust focus. Position requires manual dexterity, ability to communicate, lifting, kneeling, squatting, climbing, crawling, stooping, turning/twisting, balancing, reaching and handling with varying frequencies.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions. Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. Occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and fumes or airborne particles.

May work with potentially hazardous chemicals that could include, but are not limited to, cleaning agents, sanitizes, fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides.
