is currently seeking a Senior Contract Manager to negotiate contracts with customers and execute and comply with all stated contractual and regulatory requirements.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Responsible for contract negotiations and associated change orders, revisions, etc., within set dollar limitations. Acts as Gichner Shelter Systems agent in signing contracts within set dollar limitations. Issues job releases, budgets, and changes as required to the functional areas, which communicate contractual requirements. Protects the organization from assuming program cost and schedule impacts without recourse when such changes are customer driven. Act as a facilitator in internal and external meetings. Responsible for correspondence with the customer regarding all contractual issues and resolving open issues. Responsible for submittal and tracking of contract reports and data items. Directs invoicing of contract data items and milestone billings. Responsible for contract close-out. Initiates warranties and claims investigation. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
This position has supervisory responsibilities. Directly manages Subcontract Managers.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information as required by government standards. Ability to interact effectively with peers and supervisors. Ability to interact appropriately with the public when necessary. Ability to adhere to workplace rules. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
BA/BS degree in busines displine 5+ years of contract experience, inlcuding negotiation, administration, and compliance with Federal DoD prime/subcontracts in the defense aerospace industry. Experience with government regulations (FAR/DFAR/ITAR), export licenses and associated intentional issues, contract structure, and preparation of agreements. Will advise contract administrators regarding complex contractual matters and risks and interface with prime contractors/governmental personnel regularly. Requires strong negotiation, superior interpersonal, and outstanding communication skills-occasional travel .
