RFI is looking for a Fire Alarm System Technician to join our team in Sacramento!
As a Fire Alarm System Technician, your duties will include: Service Technicians, report directly to the Lead Technician and/or Service Manager. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Install, program, test, inspect and service of all fire alarm systems and equipment, after installation or repairs are made, to ensure performance of system. Experience with Siemens Fire Alarm systems preferred.
Responsibilities:
TYPICAL DUTIES INCLUDE: Technical Acumen: • Install, program, test/inspect and service of all fire alarm systems and equipment, after installation or repairs are made, to ensure performance of system. • Assist on installation projects when required. • Ability to learn on-site Project Management, troubleshooting, programming, testing, and installation of systems. • Repair and/or restore all systems per specifications and in conjunction with any applicable building fire alarm and/or electrical codes. • Work with Field Engineers on startup to ensure complete system compliance. • Ability to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities without supervision. • Assist in training apprentices on RFI procedures, systems and installation/service techniques.
Education, Work Experience and Requirements: High school education, or equivalent required. OSHA 10 Certification required. NICET Fire Alarm Certification a plus. Siemens trained and certified in MXL and/or XLS a plus. Experience in the electronic field with daily use of AC/DC theory a plus. Proper hand and power tool operations and safety. Experience reading blue prints and schematics a plus. Basic computer skills. This position requires a clean background check, passing a pre-employment drug test and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Physical Demands: In general, the following physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job: • Ability to lift occasionally and/or move up to 50 pounds. • Specific vision abilities include close vision and color vision. • Ability to effectively communicate with employees and/or customers. • Manual dexterity required for frequent reaching, climbing, and lifting of moderate objects, operation of power and manual tools/equipment, and operating office equipment. • Ability to stand and work on a ladder; must have the ability to reach and work overhead.

PAY RANGE: $35.00-43.70 HOURLY
