Essential Functions
Follow instructions as given by the supervisor.
Operate equipment as indicated in the operator’s manual and in a safe manner.
Perform a daily pre-operative inspection of equipment.
Attend and pass all health & safety and environmental training classes.
Follow and obey all policies & procedures and rules & regulations.
Maintain equipment daily and report ALL incidents, malfunctions and unsafe or unhealthy conditions to your supervisor.
Additional duties may be assigned with or without notice, verbally or in writing
Responsibilities:
Stable Area :
Clean up around manure dumpsters
Clean out wash pad catch basins
Strip and clean stalls
Maintain ditches for grade and water flow
Sweep roads and parking area
Paint
General grounds maintenance including grass cutting, litter pick-up etc.
Facilitate snow removal as necessary.
Dormitories:
General clean up around buildings
Keep walks, patios, balconies clear of obstructions and clean
Remove trash on a daily basis
Facilitate snow removal as necessary.
Grandstand :
Clean up parking lot litter
Aid with landscape and irrigation
Paint
Move materials, furniture and equipment
Facilitate snow removal as necessary.
General cleanup around facility
Perimeter:
General grounds maintenance including grass cutting, litter pick-up etc.
Facilitate snow removal as necessary.
Education and Work Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Previous experience in general maintenance and repair.
Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands:
Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the property
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds
Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned desk area.
Must be able to maneuver throughout all areas of the property and from floor to floor either by stairways (minimum of 20 steps) or escalator.
Must be able to work varied shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
All types of weather conditions (including heat, cold, rain, sleet and snow).
Noise levels occasionally loud.
Appropriate attire for outdoor activities.
Personal Protective Equipment required (supplied by employer).

Safety and consistency are the most important aspects of maintaining the racetrack, stable area and facilities, and will be considered at all times.
Schedules may change without warning, as weather is a determining factor in the maintenance of the facilities.
