AMVAC Chemical Corporation, an American Vanguard Company, is seeking a Chemical Packager to join our manufacturing team in Axis, AL. This role supports the packaging and shipment of chemical products while operating and maintaining equipment in a safe, efficient manner. Candidates must be willing to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends, and adapt to evolving production needs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES
Prepare and package chemical products including inspecting, labeling, filling, and stacking various containers Operate and adjust machinery to ensure smooth operations and consistent output Troubleshoot mechanical or process issues at workstations and escalate as needed Perform minor equipment maintenance and resolve basic mechanical problems Inspect incoming materials and report deficiencies Maintain clean workspaces and assist with housekeeping duties inside and outside the formulations area Operate forklifts and box washing equipment safely Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety and environmental requirements Adhere to company policies and participate in safety auditing programs Support additional duties as assigned by supervisor or management SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
1+ year experience in general labor (e.g. warehouse, construction, landscaping) Ability to safely list up to 70 pounds Willingness to undergo monthly blood tests due to chemical exposure Must be clean shaven to properly wear a respirator Must pass a drug screen, pre-employment physical, and background check Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Willing and able to perform all job tasks after appropriate training HS diploma or equivalent At American Vanguard, Benefits are an important part of our compensation.
