LSSE Civil Engineers and Surveyors is looking for an Environmental Resource Technician to join our team. We are a 180+ person civil engineering and surveying consulting firm with over 10 locations primarily located in western Pennsylvania. LSSE’s projects support public infrastructure and community development. Our clients include local boroughs and townships, water and sewer authorities, industrial and residential land developers, and utility companies.
Qualifications:
2+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Biology, or related degree
Experience with the following is a plus:
NPDES and EPA permitting for residential developments; PA is a must, OH is a plus
PADEP Chapter 102 and 105 and Army Corp of Engineers 404 permitting requirements and process
Wetland field determinations and categorization in accordance with the USFW Classification of Wetlands and Deep-Water Habitats and the USACE Wetland Delineation Manual
Identifying and classifying streams including stream morphology
Stream restoration design
Erosion and sedimentation management
Surface mining permits
Environmental compliance and inspection
Biological assessments and surveys
Rare, threatened, and endangered species consultation and coordination
Identification of invasive species and macroinvertebrates; macroinvertebrate enumeration; endangered species consultation; plant identification; identification of taxonomic groups of macro invertebrates
Responsibilities will be split between the office and field, approximately 50/50
Ability to work in a team environment
Responsibilities will support projects within our site/land development, municipal, and environmental projects
