Staffmark
Staffmark is seeking a Paint Blaster to join a fast-paced manufacturing team in Trussville, AL. This position is responsible for executing the full paint blasting process on production parts, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to specifications.
Pay: $18-$20/hr (based on experience)
Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday-Friday | 3:30 PM - 1:00 AM
Responsibilities:
Accept only parts that are properly prepared for painting Manually move parts through the painting, flashing, and drying sections of the paint system Mix paints and solvents according to manufacturer specifications Operate automated mixing equipment Apply coatings using electrostatic and traditional spray guns Ensure parts meet specified drying and curing times Inspect finished work and perform corrections as needed Perform routine cleaning and flushing of paint and solvent systems Support scheduled or as-needed maintenance of paint system equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area Assist in other areas of the paint line as needed Follow all company policies and safety guidelines Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform repetitive, physically demanding tasks Comfortable working while wearing a respirator and protective gear Must pass a pulmonary function test and respirator fit test Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions Self-motivated and dependable
