Summary:

This position is responsible for the maintenance and repair of the largest and most critical machines in production. Duties include troubleshooting, regular preventive maintenance plan execution (TPM), equipment modification, and basic mechanical or electrical work as needed. In addition, the Maintenance Shift Lead is responsible for daily reports, training, coordinating technician work schedules, and coordinating maintenance and preventative maintenance activities with other departments.

Responsibilities:

Oversee maintenance for the floor, including all corrective and preventive maintenance of production equipment and their controls

Communicate directly with the production department to coordinate preventive maintenance and troubleshooting work in production areas

Work with the production team to determine need to shut down or monitor issues

Work with electrical or mechanical teams to estimate time for repairs

Prepare and manages periodic preventive maintenance schedule

Keep records of all preventive maintenance and troubleshooting work

Coordinate maintenance and preventative maintenance with other departments

Ensure work is completed in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment

Prepare and maintain maintenance-related documents; daily report, check sheet

Present to the production team 2-3 times per week

Train and mentor team members

Coordinate technician work schedules

Conduct thorough and timely Layered Process Audits in appropriate work areas

Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:

Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain

Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required

Vocational Certificate or associate's degree preferred or equivalent, relevant experience

Experience:

1 to 3+ years of experience with electrical and automation in machine manufacturing

Experience with machine building, repair, and maintenance

Experience with Mitsubishi and Omron PLCs

Understanding of production and processing equipment maintenance
