Are you in? Primary Purpose
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Ensure compliance with environmental procedures and agencies while incurring minimal cost. Respond to environmental spill events and other emergencies to coordinate and manage clean up. Support engineering, supervision and craft personnel to perform functions, tasks and analysis in direct support of maintenance teams.
Primary Duties
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Track, record and report the results of events to applicable environmental agencies when required. Demonstrate appropriate customer focus while responding to events. Review and pay vendor invoices. Review and provide expertise in the area of procedure development and revision. Attend yearly training to maintain qualifications. Provide informational updates to maintenance teams and other regional employees regarding issues of environmental impact. Monitor and inspect storage facilities; maintain records; participate in audits. Analyze information, generate reports and maintain training and other databases. Assure maintenance teams attend training as required for compliance purposes. Provide technical support and direction on the testing, maintenance and emergency restoration of electric facilities (and gas facilities in suburban regions). Perform budget support and tracking functions. Coordination of environmental events. Coordination of training for personnel, and for maintenance of training and other databases. Maintenance of procedures. Experience with URD cable replacement. Will be accountable for all coordination of work.
Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Minimum three (3) years- experience at the first-class level, OR two (2) year degree in technical discipline. Valid Driver's license. Demonstrated excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Demonstrated excellent planning and organizing skills. Demonstrated excellent analysis and judgment skills. Demonstrated proficiency in PC applications for word processing and report generation. Demonstrated ability to manage projects. Demonstrated excellent customer relations skills. Ability to work overtime when required.
Preferred Qualifications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experience in trades, including electric, gas and/or substation. Knowledge of OSHA regulations. Experience with Passport and Peoplesoft Financial computer programs.

Hourly rates will be paid in accordance with terms of the candidate's skills, qualifications, experience or collective bargaining agreement: $57.28/Hr.
