As a Facilities Instrumentation and Controls Technician at Micron Technology, Inc., you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the instrumentation used to supervise and control the facilities equipment for the site. This is accomplished through continuous improvement and development of skills associated with the I&C trade. In this role you will support the installation, maintenance, and repair of the monitoring and control equipment. Additional responsibilities include: serving as a resource for engineering and operations, subject matter expert for internal customers, and maintaining maintenance records for accurate tracking.

Responsibilities:

Maintain site facilities instrumentation and controls systems

Perform basic to sophisticated level troubleshooting

Install, test and modify FMCS systems and components in accordance with technical documents, blueprints, schematics and drawings

Perform required calibrations of all site analyzers, and monitoring devices to ISO standards. E.g. pressure, temperature, pH, flow, humidity

Support safety, environmental, health, and security standards

Author, review, and update procedures

Set up and operate field test equipment such as a Fluke 744, Altec current loop calibrator, Altec RTD calibrator and HART communicator

Manage and supervise the installation of new equipment

Participate in continuous improvement and reliability initiatives

Suggest and perform upgrade of obsolete equipment

Maintain equipment and system maintenance records

Complete data logs in FMS and other applications used for tracking maintenance

Build presentations via Microsoft Office applications

Review and update records relative to assets, spare parts, and inventory lists

Minimum requirements:

Flexibility to work occasional weekends, evenings, or on-call shifts as needed

Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety protocols

Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and schematics

Proficiency in using electrical testing tools and diagnostic equipment

Proficient computer skills including spreadsheets and PowerPoint

Experience using Volt/Ohm meter, Fluke 744, 754, and/or Beamex MC6 Documenting Process Calibrators and related components

General knowledge of PLC and SCADA systems

General knowledge of electrical systems, MCC, AFD, UPS

Understanding of other facility systems such as UPW, IWTP, acid exhaust, CDA, scrubbers, etc

Preferred requirements:

2+ years of industrial equipment experience in facility maintenance or industrial setting

CCST Certification

Understanding of semiconductor equipment and processes

Experience in data extraction, analysis, and reporting
