AutoTune is looking for a creative, data-savvy Email Marketing Manager (Contract) to lead our email and lifecycle strategy using Customer.io. You'll be responsible for developing, executing, and optimizing campaigns that engage music creators across their journey-from sign-up to superfan.
This is a high-impact, hands-on role where you'll collaborate across product, marketing, and creative to build emails that educate, convert, and retain our global user base.
Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
Support optimization and own execution of the email marketing roadmap, including lifecycle, onboarding, retention, and reactivation journeys. Help the growth team define and manage audience segmentation, journey mapping, and personalization strategies. Partner with Product Marketing and Growth on key launches, campaigns, and promotions. Execution & Management
Build and manage email campaigns and automated workflows in Customer.io. Write or edit email copy; collaborate with design for visual assets. Manage campaign QA, scheduling, and list health. Optimization & Reporting
Monitor performance metrics: open rates, CTR, conversions, churn, and ROI. Run A/B tests on subject lines, copy, timing, and formats. Present campaign results and learnings on a monthly basis. Requirements
Must-Have
3+ years of email experience. Hands-on experience with Customer.io or a similar platform. Strong copywriting instincts and attention to brand voice. Solid understanding of email analytics, testing, and deliverability. Able to work independently, manage projects, and take ownership in a fast-paced, remote environment. Nice-to-Have
Background in SaaS, music tech, creator tools, or subscription businesses. Basic HTML/CSS for emails. Familiarity with attribution tools, UTM tracking, or GA4. About You
