Cardiac Sonographer - Part-Time
Performs comprehensive diagnostic cardiology ultrasound examinations including high quality Two Dimensional (2D), M-Mode, Pulsed Wave, Continuous Wave, Colorflow Doppler, Transesophageal and Contrast, for subsequent evaluation and treatment by the attending physician. Demonstrates competency in performance of assignments at both Meritus Health and Cardiac Diagnostic Center locations. Minimum Qualifications: Education
- High School diploma or GED required. Additional program completion, degree or on the job training as required by registering organization (ARDMS or CCI) required. Experience
- Experience in Adult Echocardiography or clinical rotation required. Licensure/Certification
- Current BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy required. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to determine machine parameters to achieve optimum images. Ability to exercise discretion and good judgement with patients during ultrasound procedures. Ability to position patient and adjust equipment to produce desired or optimum images of desired anatomy. Skilled in safe and efficient operation of equipment.
