Event Day Cook - Utah Jazz & Utah Mammoth @ The Delta Center
Pay Range: $18.00 HOURLY We are seeking energetic and dependable event day prep cooks to support our culinary team during Utah Jazz and Utah Mammoth game days and special events. The prep cook will assist in preparing ingredients, assembling menu items, and ensuring all food stations are ready for service. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment to deliver quality food experiences for our guests. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare ingredients and assemble menu items as directed, and plating food items. Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times. Support hot prep team in cooking, assembling and plating food items. Ensure all food preparation adheres to food safety and sanitation standards. Assist with setup and breakdown of prep stations before and after events. Ensure all food is cooked to proper temperatures and quality standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and cooking equipment. Support inventory management by notifying supervisors of low stock levels. Adhere to portion control guidelines, follow recipes and presentation standards. Respond quickly to the needs of the kitchen and service staff during high-volume periods. Ensure proper storage and handling of ingredients and prepared items. Maintain a safe working environment and follow all safety protocols. Qualifications & Requirements
Must be 18 years of age or older. Prior experience as a line cook, or prep cook in a commercial kitchen preferred. Knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and sanitation standards. Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure, fast-paced environment. Strong organization skills and attention to detail. Good teamwork and communication skills. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays based around event schedule. Ability to stand, lift, and bend for extended periods. Capable of lifting heavy pots, pans, and ingredients. Ability to work in a noisy, high-energy environment. Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor. Must obtain valid Utah Food Handlers Permit or Manager Food Safety Certificate.
