Department: PharmacyShift: DayWorking Hours: 8-4:30Summary:Monitor and coordinate front line technician work-flow to ensure appropriate time and resource management. Work with technician supervisor to prioritize and allocate daily tasks to improve overall efficiency as well as oversee and manage work-flow and staffing changes. Recommend a schedule for implementing improvements in the tech work flow. Collect and analyze efficiency data, presenting work-flow recommendations to pharmacy tech supervisor. Maintain compliance with USP

regulations for non-sterile compounding. Coordinate all training and continuing education for technicians. Works with other Pharmacy leaders and front-line employees in planning changes to accomplish the department vision, strategic goals and organizational outcomes. Assist the tech supervisor in recruiting, hiring, and scheduling of Pharmacy technician staff..Other information:1. Education and Licensure: Bachelors degree or College level work in a business related field; will consider candidate with two years of college education and 3 years of related experience. Registration with the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician. Must have and actively maintain PTCB certification.2. Experience: Three years work experience required (hospital pharmacy experience preferred).3. Knowledge, skills, abilities: Good understanding of automated drug dispensing, inventory control and repackaging systems and their application to the operation of a hospital pharmacy. Strong people and project management skills. Ability to interact effectively with all Pharmacy Departments throughout the Baptist Health system, especially the three metro facilities. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a self-directed manner. Flexibility; willingness to lead and support change, take on new assignments. Proven track record of dependability. Creative thinking and problem solving skills. Strong communication and writing skills. Strong computer skills; ability to quickly learn and constructively apply new systems. Understanding of word processing and spreadsheets software. Ability to train, orient, and teach new pharmacy technician staff.This job will be authorized 80.00 hours bi-weekly.
