Independent Stave
Position Summary:
The MRO Specialist is responsible for leading cost reduction and standardization initiatives across all Independent Stave Company locations in the areas of maintenance, repair, and operating (MRO) supplies. This role does not issue purchase orders but instead works with internal stakeholders and suppliers to establish and maintain national account programs, reduce SKU complexity, and improve vendor compliance.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain national account supplier programs across MRO, PPE, janitorial, and consumables. Collect and analyze SKU-level usage and pricing data across facilities. Identify standardization and consolidation opportunities to improve efficiency and cost control. Drive adoption of preferred supplier programs through communication and site-level engagement. Monitor vendor performance and support corrective actions where needed. Provide regular reporting to leadership on program savings, compliance, and KPIs. Collaborate with the Procurement Analyst and Tooling Program Lead to identify broader trends and opportunities. Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in indirect procurement, preferably in manufacturing. Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret purchasing and operational data. Proficient in Excel and ERP systems; experience with supplier performance tracking. Excellent communication skills and ability to influence plant-level personnel. Willingness to travel with overnight stays required to visit internal manufacturing sites across the company Employee Benefits
