Job Summary: As a Pharmacy Technician I, you will assist in the preparation, distribution, and dispensing of medications under the direct supervision of registered pharmacists. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a hospital setting. Shift Breakdown: 2 Full-Time Evening Shifts: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM 1 Rotating Shift: Majority of hours are day shift: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM 11:30 AM - 8:00 PM If coverage is needed for evening shifts, hours may be 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM or 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM Hourly Pay Range: Approx 15-$20/hr (based on experience) Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and distribution of medications under the supervision of a pharmacist Perform tasks such as filling, packaging, labeling, and distributing medications Work in the IV room using aseptic techniques to prepare sterile products Operate automated dispensing machines and assist with inventory management Use Epic to track patient information, manage RX orders, and print medication labels Perform receptionist duties, including distributing medications and answering patient inquiries Assist with medication deliveries and ensure proper transportation conditions (e.g., refrigerator, cart delivery) Required Qualifications: 2+ years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician Certification from the Ohio State Board of Pharmacy, PTCB, or CPhT Ability to handle cash transactions for pharmacy sales Strong communication and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications: Hospital pharmacy experience is highly preferred Why Work in Cincinnati?
