What Sr. Consultant, Innovation Technologies contributes to Cardinal Health
The Commercial Technologies Innovation team manages the enterprise's portfolio of commercial solutions to maximize business value and enhance the customer experience. Grounded in human-centered design and customer empathy, the function partners with business areas to uncover user and customer problems and co-create solutions that directly address those needs.
This role directly works with our various business's units within our Medical, Pharmaceutical, Specialty and other internal stakeholders to understand user pain points, drawing insights, ideating potential solutions, implement and scale or commercialize where needed.
This role consults commercial teams on opportunities to leverage emerging tools and market-leading solutions, partnering with business leaders to identify innovation opportunities and activate new capabilities. Design-thinking practices-ideation, rapid prototyping, and iterative learning-are woven into every engagement to ensure solutions are desirable, viable, and feasible.
Responsibilities
Apply advanced knowledge of Design Thinking, Lean Startup concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects
Integrate customer-empathy insights and design-thinking techniques to shape solutions and influence strategy
Provide solutions across the organization independently to determine methods for completing new projects, receiving guidance primarily on overarching objectives
Demonstrate deep knowledge of the customer pain points, desires, mindset and what drives them to buy products
Comfortable with data and analytics, able to derive metrics using BI tools
Demonstrate deep knowledge of business - stakeholders and the constraints they operate in
Demonstrate knowledge of the market and industry, knowing competitors, technology trends, customer behaviors and expectations, industry analysis
Demonstrate strong product management experience - working with designers, engineers, customers and stakeholders and leading product discovery and build
Mentor to less-experienced colleagues, fostering a culture of experimentation, learning, and customer focus
Model a growth mindset, demonstrating adaptability to change and curiosity about emerging technologies and market trends
Qualifications
8-12 years of related experience, preferred
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (or equivalent work experience), preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of design-thinking / human-centered design methodologies
Proven ability to thrive in dynamic environments that demand adaptability and intellectual curiosity
Ability to juggle multiple projects in parallel

Anticipated salary range:
$121,600 - $173,700
