Role Overview
The Operations Manager shapes the Fanatics experience by serving as an athlete/fan advocate, overseeing daily inbound and outbound warehouse operations at our Frazeysburg Ohio Fulfillment Center. This role leads and develops teams to deliver safety, quality, productivity, and accuracy, while driving continuous improvement, cost control, and exceptional fan experiences. This position directs the efforts of supervisors and athletes and reports to the Sr. Operations Manager.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Operational Leadership Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping. Develop, document, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and compliance. Coordinate shipping and receiving schedules to meet service-level and quality targets. Analyze operational metrics (productivity, accuracy, inventory levels) and implement data-driven improvement plans. Team Development & Management
Lead, coach, and mentor a team of supervisors and 50-250 athletes through clear communication and performance feedback. Manage recruiting, hiring, onboarding, performance appraisals, and disciplinary actions for direct reports. Design and execute training programs on safety, equipment use, and best practices. Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and BOLD mindset in line with Fanatics Leadership Principles. Continuous Improvement & Cost Control
Identify process bottlenecks and lead Kaizen events to improve throughput and reduce costs. Implement inventory control practices, including cycle counts and stock audits. Partner with Finance and GM to develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost-reduction initiatives. Recommend innovative solutions to enhance customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work with Human Resources, Learning & Development, Facilities, Loss Prevention, and IT to ensure seamless operations. Serve as liaison between front-line teams and senior leadership, communicating challenges, opportunities, and progress. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and quality standards. wHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:
Managerial Responsibilities
Directly manage up to 7 or more exempt supervisors, ensuring clear setting and development plans. Conduct regular performance reviews, talent assessments, and succession planning. Address staffing needs, adjust schedules, and manage overtime during peak periods. Competencies & Skills
Leadership & Communication: Inspires teams, delivers clear feedback, and navigates challenging conversations. Analytical Thinking: Leverages data to diagnose issues and drive actions. Problem Solving: Creative, resourceful, and decisive under pressure. Organizational Agility: Manages multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Technical Proficiency: Strong Excel skills; experience with WMS (Manhattan preferred) and Oracle. Reliability & Initiative: Self-starter who follows through with minimal supervision. Education & Experience
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field or 5+ years of relevant warehouse/distribution management experience. Proven track record of developing high-performing teams and driving operational excellence.
Preferred:
3-5 years of tenure at Fanatics. Hands-on experience with Manhattan WMS and Oracle ERP.
Work Environment & Physical Demands
Warehouse setting with exposure to variable temperatures, noise, and moving equipment. Must be able to stand, walk, lift up-to 50 lbs. regularly (75 lbs. occasionally), and perform repetitive motions. Commitment to safety protocols and use of personal protective equipment. Other Duties
