Job Summary
As a Medical Front Desk Specialist, you will play a vital role in delivering the highest quality care to our patients while supporting day-to-day front office operations. This hybrid position requires experience with insurance authorizations, collections, billing, and treatment plan presentation. You must be able to multi-task efficiently, handle a high volume of phone calls, and still provide exceptional service and support to patients in person and remotely. This position initially involves onsite coverage at the SCV clinic to cover a leave of absence followed by transitioning to a float role with occasional in-person coverage at multiple clinics and remote support.
Responsibilities / Job Duties
Verify and check insurance benefits to ensure coverage and eligibility prior to treatment. Conduct timely follow-up calls on all consultations to support continuity of care. Collaborate closely with the provider and clinical staff to facilitate timely, coordinated, and efficient patient treatment. Demonstrate strong communication skills and teamwork to support seamless clinic operations and high-quality patient experiences. Additional duties and responsibilities related to the role will be reviewed and discussed in detail during the interview process. Minimum Education and Experience Qualification Requirements
Education
High school graduate. BLS certified required with American Heart Association. Qualifications
Minimum of two (2) years medical office experience preferred. Computer experience in word processing, database programs, and spreadsheets. Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communication skills. Fully vaccinated against the Covid-19 virus in accordance with Federal CDC and State/Local regulatory guidance. Schedule / Shift
5-7 month contract opening covering for a leave of absence in Santa Clarita, transitioning to a float FO Coordinator role with coverage at Glendale, SCV, and Westwood Clinics.
