We're seeking an Events & Engagement Coordinator to play a key role in amplifying our mission. Working alongside our Chief Development Officer (CDO), you'll help drive the growth and visibility of The Worker through dynamic fundraising events, strategic community partnerships, and a thriving volunteer program. Work duties may include, but are not limited to:
Event Planning & Execution (40%)
Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising, cultivation, and stewardship events (e.g., Hike for Hope, Benefit Concert, Be the Impact, volunteer experiences, etc.)
Create and manage event timelines, budgets, sponsorships, vendor relationships, promotional materials, and volunteer staffing
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure events align with organizational goals and messaging
Track and evaluate event performance and impact
Corporate Sponsorships & Stewardship (35%)
Cultivate and steward relationships with corporate sponsors to enhance engagement and retention
Develop sponsorship packages and coordinate outreach and follow-up for event and program sponsors
Ensure sponsor recognition and fulfillment of benefits through branding, marketing, and event presence
Support donor stewardship efforts through thank-you campaigns, impact reports, and personalized touchpoints
Volunteer Program Management (25%)
Recruit, train, schedule, and recognize volunteers for both programmatic and development-related needs
Maintain volunteer data, track hours and engagement, and develop pathways for deeper involvement
Plan and host volunteer orientations and appreciation events
Work cross-departmentally to assess and fulfill volunteer needs
Required Attributes

Qualifications
2+ years of experience in nonprofit development, event planning, volunteer coordination, or related field
Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and donor/CRM databases (Bloomerang, Q-Give)
Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends for events
A team-oriented attitude
Preferred Skills
Experience planning nonprofit fundraising events
Experience securing and managing corporate sponsorships
Experience managing volunteers
Familiarity with marketing tools such as Canva, Bloomerang, Q-Give; Constant Contac
Reporting
Reports directly to the Chief Development Officer.
