Facilities Maintenance Technician Location:
Bloomington (Minneapolis), MN Shift:
12-hour shifts on a rotating 3-4 day schedule; multiple shifts available: A-Shift:
Sun-Tues + every other Wed (6am-6pm) - No differential
B-Shift:
Sun-Tues + every other Wed (6pm-6am) - 10% differential
C-Shift:
Every other Wed + Thurs-Sat (6am-6pm) - No differential
D-Shift:
Every other Wed + Thurs-Sat (6pm-6am) - 25% differential
Compensation:
Base: $28-$35/hr ($58k-$73k annually)
Built-in & average OT: ~$8.7k-$10.9k plus additional 5-10% OT
Annual bonus target: ~8% of base
Total expected first-year comp:
$82k-$108k

Position Summary: As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, equipment installations, and support projects for a state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing facility. This includes maintaining critical building systems such as HVAC, boilers, exhaust systems, RO/DI water production, bulk chemical distribution, and acid waste neutralization systems. You'll also document work, support procedure development, and assist Facilities Engineers with project execution.
Key Requirements:
2+ years' experience in equipment maintenance or site facilities (HVAC, electrical/mechanical systems) -
Military technicians strongly preferred!
Solid troubleshooting skills and ability to read electrical schematics and one-line diagrams
Experience with large-scale electrical distribution, HVAC, bulk chemical systems, or building automation is a plus
Class C Boiler license required
Competent with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
Ability to work independently, follow procedures, and deliver safe, high-quality results
Ability to lift 30+ lbs, bend, reach, and work hands-on in a fast-paced environment
Ideal Fit: Navy Nuclear MMs, EMs, ETs, or other military technicians ready to transition into a rewarding high-tech industrial facilities role.
