Summary TheOperations Manager provides leadership, management, and effective communicationto both customers and co-owners, while meeting operational and financialgoals. The successful person will beable to drive operational performance at the site level, focusing onproductivity, quality, and cost metrics. Theywill do this while managing outbound departments (Parcel and LTL), ensuringefficient and timely processing of customers' orders and distributionoperations with established policies, practices, and procedures. Those same policies and procedures need to bereviewed from a continuous improvement lens - and the Outbound OperationsManager should champion any improvements. Responsibilities

Managing the timely and accurate processing of customer orders, including picking, packing, and shipping. Complies with federal, state and local warehousing, material handling and shipping requirements by enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Safeguards warehouse operation and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. Oversee the organization and maintenance of outbound inventory, ensuring accuracy and availability. Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement. Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results. Manages warehouse staff by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring and appraising job results. Ability to interact and build strong relationships with internal and external customers. Excellent organizing, prioritizing, multi-tasking, product management and problem-solving skills with a strong sense of urgency. Analytical reporting skills Ability to effectively manage changing and sometimes spiking volumes. Ability to meet strict time frames in environments with zero tolerance for failure. Required Qualifications:

Requirements

A minimum of 3-4 years Outbound (Parcel & LTL) management experience Proven track record of the ability to mentor and develop supervisors. Safety Management Experience Inventory Control knowledge. Analytical reporting skills Knowledge of WMS systems Knowledge of Labor Management System Knowledge of 5S Ability to effectively manage changing and sometimes spiking volumes
