We're on the search for a proven, hands-on Operations Manager to lead construction operations for the Atlanta region. This is a field-facing leadership role for someone who can support technicians, oversee project execution, and maintain accountability across scheduling, budgets, and team performance.
This branch has had several recent turnover challenges, and the role is a top priority. You'll work closely with leadership based out of Denver, supporting local projects and mentoring junior staff. Candidates with experience in Alerton, Delton Controls, and Tridium/Niagara are highly .
If you're a high-level field technician with some leadership background, this could be your opportunity to step into a management role with training and support provided.
What You'll Do:
Manage field operations across multiple automation/control system projects
Oversee installation, programming, commissioning, and customer turnover
Provide direct mentorship to technicians and engineers
Coordinate scheduling, materials, budgets, and labor planning
Own documentation accuracy, project closeout, and owner training
Act as the point of contact for project coordination, troubleshooting, and quality control
Support team performance reviews and contribute to hiring decisions
Assist in collections and cross-functional coordination with other departments
What You Bring:
7+ years in building automation, controls, or related mechanical/electrical systems
Field experience with exposure to commissioning, programming, or project management
Strong communication skills and ability to lead others by example
Background with Alerton, Delton Controls, and Tridium/Niagara is a strong plus
Ability to read blueprints, understand control system theory, and manage site teams
Engineering degree or equivalent field-based experience
Benefits and Compensation:
Pay: $90,000 - $115,000 based on experience
Monday Friday schedule with flexibility as needed
Local travel with occasional regional trips
Take-home vehicle provided
