The Lead Affiliate Marketing Strategist will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing affiliate marketing strategies across a diverse portfolio of national clients. This is an exciting opportunity to drive performance through innovative partnerships and data-driven decision-making. In this position, you will report directly to the Director of Affiliate Marketing and collaborate with various departments to scale affiliate programs and achieve measurable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive affiliate strategies, establish partnerships with vendors/publishers/affiliates, and optimize client campaigns and budgets.
Lead a dedicated team of affiliate marketers, ensuring they meet established goals and achieve growth objectives.
Cultivate strong relationships with affiliate partners and publishers to secure exclusive opportunities, improved rates, and better placements.
Identify and recruit new affiliate partners across various channels, including editorial, influencer, network, loyalty, and brand-to-brand.
Present affiliate strategies and campaign performance to clients regularly with confidence.
Work collaboratively with various teams, including brand, legal, analytics, and paid media, to facilitate seamless campaign execution.
Monitor and analyze performance data to uncover opportunities for enhancing KPIs, expanding scale, and improving marketing efficiency.
Develop testing roadmaps and testing frameworks to continuously optimize campaign performance.
Oversee new campaign launches, ensuring proper tracking, pixel placements, suppression lists, and creative updates.
Manage day-to-day affiliate communications, addressing inquiries and resolving issues to ensure smooth operations.
Drive strategic planning across accounts, prioritizing high-impact initiatives and exploring growth opportunities.
Qualifications:
4+ years of experience in affiliate marketing, particularly in a fast-paced agency or results-driven environment.
Hands-on experience with affiliate platforms, such as Impact, CJ, Rakuten, and Awin.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets for performance reporting and forecasting.
Deep understanding of the digital media landscape, including CPA/ROAS-based campaigns across paid search, paid social, programmatic, native, and newsletters.
Exceptional communication and relationship management skills.
Proven ability to prioritize effectively, manage competing deadlines, and lead complex projects.
A proactive approach, creative deal-making instincts, and the talent to identify new affiliate opportunities.
A sense of humor and a genuine desire to enjoy your work.
Preferred Experience:
Experience managing influencer partnerships within affiliate networks like LTK, Mavely, Magiclinks, and the YouTube Shopping Affiliate Program.
Familiarity with customer referral programs.
Experience building or scaling affiliate programs from inception.
Experience with paid media platforms like Google, Meta, and TikTok in relation to broader affiliate or performance strategies.
Comfort in presenting to senior leadership and translating complex performance data into actionable insights.
