Job DescriptionJob Description Hiring For Mechanical Estimator- Preferably 5 Years experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Estimating and Bidding:
Accurately estimate material, labor, and equipment costs for HVAC projects, including commercial and industrial systems.
Project Scope Analysis:
Understand project blueprints, specifications, and proposals to determine the scope of work.
Material Take-offs:
Quantify and list all necessary materials and components for the project.
Vendor and Subcontractor Management:
Obtain quotes from vendors and subcontractors for materials and labor.
Cost Control:
Track and manage project costs throughout the bidding process.
Collaboration:
Work with project managers, sales teams, and field personnel to ensure projects stay on budget and meet specifications.
Software Proficiency:
Utilize estimating software and other relevant computer programs.
Change Order Management:
Evaluate and adjust estimates for project changes or modifications.
Communication:
Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams.
Skills and Qualifications:
HVAC Knowledge:
Strong understanding of HVAC systems, construction practices, and relevant regulations.
Blueprint Reading:
Ability to read and interpret architectural and mechanical blueprints.
Estimating Software:
Proficiency in using estimating software and other related software.
Math and Reasoning:
Strong mathematical and reasoning skills for accurate cost calculations.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies and issues in project plans.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction and report preparation.
Technical Skills:
Computer competency, including Microsoft Office Suite and relevant HVAC software.
Experience:
Several years of experience in the HVAC industry, preferably with hands-on experience in the field.
