Summary Description:
Sr. Employment Specialist / Evaluator leads career exploration and Pre-Employment Transition Services (PRE-ETS) for clients referred by ACCES-VR. This role involves conducting vocational evaluations, supporting vocational planning, and assisting in program operations and staff training.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct vocational evaluations using standardized assessments to determine client interests, abilities, and employment barriers. Provide detailed evaluation reports and recommendations to clients and ACCES-VR counselors. Lead career exploration and PRE-ETS activities tailored to individual client needs. Support the Director in daily operations and training of new staff, including documentation procedures. Provide Staff task
supervision Ensure timely completion of participant files and all mandated documentation. Collaborate with the Director to customize services for each participant. Key Competencies:
Strong understanding of vocational evaluation tools and techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting. Organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Knowledge of mental health services and local labor market trends. Proficiency in computer applications and data management. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
Timely completion of evaluations and documentation. Quality and accuracy of evaluation reports. Participant satisfaction and engagement levels. Compliance with ACCES-VR and agency standards. Effectiveness in supporting staff training and program operations. Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college accepted with required experience Master's Degree preferred Experience in human services, especially with individuals with disabilities or employment barriers Familiarity with mental health services and employment trends. Valid driver's license and ability to meet agency driving requirements. Completion of ACCES-VR mandated training within one year of hire. Strong computer knowledge: typing, communication tools, scheduling tools and web browsers. Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and database management systems. Fluency in English (Reading, Writing, Speaking). Must be cleared and maintain clearance by applicable regulatory clearances as required. Legally eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship. Special Considerations :

This is a Mandated Reporter position. The NYS Justice Center legislation defines anyone who has regular and substantial contact with any person with special needs as a "custodian" under the law and, therefore, a mandated reporter.
