Overview and Responsibilities
Saint Mary's University of Minnesota is seeking candidates who are eager to contribute to its Lasallian Catholic mission of awakening, nurturing, and empowering learners to ethical lives of service and leadership. JOB SUMMARY Custodians are responsible for general housekeeping and sanitizing in various areas on campus including classrooms, offices, residence halls, athletic facilities, and grounds. Salary Range: $18.00 JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
General responsibilities include: Restroom and shower room cleaning Carpet maintenance Trash removal Dusting Snow removal Operation of floor machine for refinishing or buffing of floors as needed Wall washing Bleacher setup Changing of light bulbs Other duties as assigned ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND FUNCTIONS Have effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with students Be able to work independently with little supervision and work well in a team environment Be able to climb and work from ladders Have the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. on a regular basis; up to 50 lbs. on occasion Have the ability to bend, twist, and stoop and spend majority of shift on foot Be able to work nights and weekends if position requires it Be able to work outside in the elements year-round Be able to wear a Saint Mary's uniform Qualifications
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Custodial experience in a school or multi-building office/commercial space preferred. Valid driver's license preferred
