general statement of functions:
The Food Services Worker is responsible for performing routine kitchen duties which includes: preparation, service, and cleaning of food using required health and safety regulations.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION: • Previous food preparation experience in a psychiatric healthcare environment or related
field is preferred. • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, squat, and reach. • Must be organized, and detail oriented. • Good verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels
of management and associates while building strong relationships. • Must have the ability to problem solve, meet deadlines and follow through on work
assignments in a fast-paced environment. • The ability to work overtime and/or additional days on special projects as needed.
GENERAL STATEMENT OF FUNCTIONS: • Prepare, service, and clean food according to established guidelines. • May assist Cook in the preparation of food which include: baking items and preparing various
beverages. • Operate food preparation machinery which may include: peeling, shredding, slicing, straining,
and mixing of various foods. • Assist in the transport of dishes, utensils, and food to in-patient dining room, cafeteria, and other
assigned areas. • Work with dishwashing equipment, washes and sterilizes dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and
other related food containers. • Collect and disposes of garbage according to guidelines. • Clean and washes kitchen equipment, kitchen work area, floors, food storage area, and washes walls,
mops floors etc. • May assist in receiving and storing warehouse deliveries. • Practice confidentiality in all employee, client, and management related matters. • Assist in preserving Kedren's mission, goals, and objectives; and help management in establishing
its internal service delivery goals and objectives that are consistent with the organization's public
service mission statement. • Participate in the fundraising activities of Kedren. • Assist in other duties and special projects as assigned.
