A Maintenance Technician-Lead is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines.
The goal is to maintain the building, equipment, and common areas in the best possible condition.
Responsibilities
· Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
· Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels, etc.)
· Perform preventative maintenance on injection machines, auxiliary equipment, injection molds, robots, and all other production equipment.
· Perform daily 5s tasks as needed and monitor overall safety regarding equipment.
· Assist in setting up ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
· Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
· Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
· Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows, etc.)
· Undertake activities of pest control, such as spraying insecticide
· Assist in budget preparation and ensure it is followed
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Qualifications
· Proven experience as a
maintenance technician
· Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems
· Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
· Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
· Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
· Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
· High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology, or relevant field will be a plus
Physical Requirements
The ability to stand and walk for extended periods is essential, as the position involves inspecting, repairing, and maintaining various facilities and equipment throughout the day.
· Maintenance tasks often require lifting and carrying heavy objects, equipment, tools, and materials. The ability to lift objects of a certain weight (e.g., up to 50 pounds or more) safely and with proper lifting techniques is crucial to prevent injuries.
· Maintenance may involve bending, stooping, kneeling, and crouching to access equipment, inspect tight spaces, and perform repairs.
· Climbing ladders and stairs and using elevated platforms to access machinery, systems, or structures for maintenance and repair.
· Maintenance tasks may involve pushing or pulling heavy carts, equipment, or materials.
· Adherence to safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, safety goggles, ear protection, and appropriate footwear, is mandatory to minimize the risk of injuries.
