SUMMARY
Det-Tronics is looking an experienced, detail-oriented, and high performing Material Flow Manager to drive our material flow transformation and to promote a continuous improvement culture. This role will be critical in helping us drive customer satisfaction and on time delivery.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Oversees and leads the shipping, warehouse and receiving teams. Establishes and maintains departmental production schedules and procedures to ensure on-time delivery. Develop and implement a material layout and flow strategy based on a PFEP with the SIOP/Inventory Manager and the Manufacturing Manager. Manages tactical supplier relationships and work with the Strategic Sourcing team to manage supply chain and key suppliers. Owns business processes and data within the function required to effectively run the business. Analyzes operational variances, extracts and reviews historical data, incorporates projected scrap allowances, production efficiencies, and on-time adherence while working with operational teams to identify and implement improvement opportunities. Report out and action on-time delivery and quality measures. Drive YOY inventory accuracy improvements, & on-time performance. Develops targets, systems and procedures for balancing optimal inventory levels with customer availability and market leading lead times. Champion lean activity in direct support and relationship to facility lean direction and business needs. Communicate Materials Inventory plans to the Leadership Team at regularly scheduled intervals. Demonstrate personal commitment to a safety and quality culture. Identifies and addresses general root causes to safety and quality problems. EDUCATION / CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree, required in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Business. EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS
5-7 years of supply chain/materials/procurement management experience in manufacturing environment. Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience preferred. Must have previous experience using MRP systems, and be knowledgeable in routings and BOM applications Proficient utilization of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and an open attitude for continuous improvement. Ability to perform under stress and meet project timelines, to work cooperatively and respectfully with others, to lead others using project planning skills and documentation. Must be able to perform essential job functions safely and work within established company guidelines.
