American Traveler is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist with at least 2 years of experience, ARRT or NMTCB certification, and strong IV skills for an acute care setting.
Responsibilities Work in an acute care hospital nuclear medicine departmentDepartment equipped with 2 GE Discovery 630 Gamma CamerasPerform all general nuclear medicine studies and cardiac studiesSteady department with an average of 5-6 general studies and 4-5 cardiac studies per dayNo floating to other radiology areas requiredUses Epic EMR and SECTRA PACS systemDay shift, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (5x8s)Some weekend and holiday coverage requiredCall required with 30 minute response timeRadiologist on site 24/7Department specific orientation providedMust pass a sterile technique test for foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes on first day of orientationPersonal scrubs in good taste requiredCall backs are infrequentSupport provided by a supervisor and lead tech for nuclear medicineCandidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligibleTesting on dysrhythmia via Relias must be completed if offered; two attempts allowedFirst-time travelers will be considered
