Job Summary:
Our upscale casual seafood restaurant is seeking a skilled Cook to join our team. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality seafood dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a professional kitchen, a passion for food, and a strong commitment to quality.
Responsibilities: •Prepare and cook a variety of seafood dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and
desserts •Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely and efficient manner •Ensure all dishes are prepared according to our recipes and standards of quality •Keep the kitchen area clean and organized at all times •Monitor food inventory and order supplies as needed •Work with the kitchen team to develop new menu items •Collaborate with the front of house team to ensure a positive customer experience
Requirements: •High school diploma or equivalent •At least 2 years of experience working in a professional kitchen •Strong knowledge of seafood preparation and cooking techniques •Ability to work in a fast-paced environment •Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed •Strong communication and teamwork skills •Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 pounds
Preferred: •Experience working in an upscale casual restaurant environment •Knowledge of seafood sustainability practices
