Job Description
The EEG Technician is responsible for assuring accurate and timely neurodiagnostic testing. Conducts diagnostic testing as ordered. Evaluates the testing data/response and quality of testing to enhance results based on patient's age and provides timely and effective communication of apparent abnormal diagnostic testing results to appropriate neurologist. Selects, assembles, checks, troubleshoots and cleans all equipment used. Qualifications
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience using a business office suite, such as Microsoft Office, is required
CERTIFICATION/ LICENSURE/ REGISTRATION:
Current BLS certification or obtained prior to providing direct patient care is required
R.EEG T credential from the ABRET EEG Registry is preferred
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Six months experience in Electroencephalography required.
