Job Summary:
The Alternative Energy Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting Global Infrastructure and Natural Resource Equity teams by conducting in-depth research and analysis within the energy space and across all alternative energy segments. This position requires a strong understanding of the energy sector and the ability to provide actionable insights to portfolio managers and investment teams. Major Responsibilities/Activities: Conduct research and analysis on energy and alternative energy markets; perform bottom-up analysis and stock selection Apply strategic thinking and asset allocation within the energy sector Monitor global energy market developments, industry trends, regulatory changes, and company performance Prepare reports and presentations for portfolio managers and investment teams Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts Collaborate with team members to support investment decisions Participate in meetings with industry experts and company management Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5+ years of research experience (buyside/sell side) with a focus on energy and alternative energy Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling Excellent written and verbal communication skills A solid understanding of security analysis and accounting concepts required Ability to work independently and as part of a team Expertise with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced Excel; proficiency with Bloomberg and FactSet Demonstrates inclusive behaviors in support of a culture that values diverse perspectives Is able to abide by the firm's hybrid work arrangement policy in New York City office (4 days in-office/1 day remote)
