Job Summary:
The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role plays a crucial part in supporting the financial health of the company by performing daily accounting tasks, reconciling bank statements, and assisting with financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities: •Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and expense reports. •Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections. •Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts to ensure accuracy. •Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, profit & loss statements, and cash flow statements. •Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies. •Assist with audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports. •Use accounting software and systems to streamline financial processes.
Qualifications: •3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, preferably in the construction or heavy civil materials industry. •Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Sage, or ERP systems. •Strong understanding of financial principles, GAAP, and regulatory compliance. •Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. •Strong organizational and time management skills. •Ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with other departments. •Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
