Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient 1
Are you a pharmacy technician looking for a new opportunity to positively impact patient care? Our experienced inpatient team at Parkland Health Center is looking for detail oriented and patient centered technicians! Location: Farmington, Missouri Schedule: Mon-Fri, 2:30pm-11:00pm, Rotating Holidays Overview: Parkland Health Center offers a unique combination of world-class medicine along with the deep local roots and rich history of its three predecessors. The Pharmacy Department supports our inpatient services by providing quality prescription services in a timely, accurate manner to our inpatients. Role Purpose: The Pharmacy Technician - Inpatient 1, under the direct supervision of a staff pharmacist and according to standard procedures, assists in dispensing and transporting medications. This entry level position learns to conduct non-sterile and/or sterile compounding and is responsible for maintaining the required documentation & records. Responsibilities: Maintains quality assurance standards and required documentation; maintains regulatory cleanliness compliance. Assists in the preparation of medication orders, to include workflow management, basic preparation & dispensing, and non-sterile compounding. Uses automated/electronic systems to manage product preparation, inventory, patient records, and regulatory compliance. Supports various inventory activities, to include inventory storage, ordering, rotating, beyond use dating, and cleanliness.
