Medical Technologist (Senior, II & I)

Piper Companies is seeking an experienced Medical Technologist to join a leading clinical research organization dedicated to that providing consultation, clinical development and commercialization services for the pharmaceutical industry. This is an onsite, permanent role, in Farmingdale, NY and will support the performance and validation of laboratory tests, maintenance of equipment and documentation, and the accuracy, quality and integrity of clinical research.Available shifts include Tuesday - Saturday (10 AM - 6:30 PM) & Tuesday - Saturday (2 PM - 10:30 PM includes 10% pay differential). No on-call responsibilities.Responsibilities of the Medical Technologist include: Operate and maintain laboratory automation equipment following established protocols and safety procedures. Conduct routine equipment checks, calibrations, quality control, and preventive maintenance in line with lab standards. Ensure test accuracy by strictly adhering to Quality Control procedures and standard operating guidelines. Accurately document all assay activities and test results for reporting and compliance purposes. Perform assigned proficiency testing and handle specimens in a unidirectional workflow to prevent cross-contamination. Qualifications for the Medical Technologist include: Senior (7+ years of experience), Level II (3 - 7 years) & Level 1 (6 months - 3 years) NYS license as a Medical Laboratory Scientist required ASCP certification preferred Strong knowledge of laboratory instrumentation, quality control, and testing procedures Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science or related field Compensation for the Medical Technologist:Salary Range: $40/hr - $56/hr depending on experience; bonus eligible and overtime eligible Comprehensive Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, sick leave if required by law, and 401K This job opens for applications on 8/8/2025.
