The hurricane season will run from June 1 to November 30, but storms have been known to occur outside of that window. Upon accepting an assignment and starting your role, your unit manager may assign you to an "Emergency Team." There will be an expectation to stay at the facility until after the storm passes or be part of the relief team. Specific details pertaining to pay will be relayed during each storm as impacts vary. By signing your travel contract for this position, you accept the above conditions and will report as assigned by your immediate unit manager if a storm occurs. You should not apply during this hurricane window if you are not comfortable with these conditions. The average daily census is 20. You will be expected to float between two satellite clinics, with proper notice from management. The distance between the two satellite locations is 4.6 miles. Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics. Daily visits will typically be around 5. You will perform various types of mammograms, including screening mammograms and diagnostic mammograms. Responsibilities may also include fine needle aspirations, needle localizations, stereotactic biopsy, and adhering to isolation precautions. Interdisciplinary support is available. This role requires a commitment to high-quality patient care.
