Commercial Driver Hybrid

The Commercial Driver position will be at the Harrison, AR warehouse and serve as the secondary driver. When needed, the commercial driver will drive the company tractor and trailer to deliver products to our customers. Driver routes will typically be 4-10 stops per route, will require the driver to unload via lift gate with pallet jack, and transport/place palletized product inside the customers' location. Driver will be expected to use ELD and log all activity and follow all state and federal regulations. Routes are generally
$26/hr The Commercial Driver will impact Victory Packaging, a Smurfit Westrock Company by: Primarily assisting with warehouse operator duties and responsibilities by transferring materials, unloading, processing, loading and storage areas. Moving outgoing product using hand truck, forklift, or other material handling equipment, in accordance with all safety policies, to loading dock. Performing Commercial Driver duties when necessary. Receiving, sorting and placing incoming products in appropriate warehouse location. Recording amounts of material shipped or received in Victory computer system. Marking materials and product with Victory inventory codes. Organizing the warehouse for cleanliness and safety at all times. Sweeping, mopping and performing other routine maintenance. Safely operating tractor and trailer for the delivery of product and materials. Performing vehicle inspections as required. Operating mobile apps on phone for ELD and proof of delivery. Providing outstanding customer service during delivery. Following all safety rules for equipment and material handling as required by DOT, OSHA and Company safety program. Ensuring all orders are delivered in good condition and in full as per the bill of lading. Communicating effectively with operations staff about customer concerns. Utilizing material handling equipment, such hand trucks. What you need to succeed: Forklift experience and certification Current CDL Class A license One or more years' experience as a warehouse operator preferred Safe MVR driving record Current medical certification card One or more year(s) experience driving a tractor trailer General fluency in English required, verbal and written Basic computer literacy preferred High school diploma or equivalent preferred Physical Demands Perform job duties in severe weather conditions: heat, cold, rain, etc. Sit and drive for up to 10 hours of time without assistance. Walk for distances of 100 yards repeatedly and without assistance. Lift 50 pounds repeatedly and without assistance or equipment. Utilize all material handling equipment without assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment The work environment is usually moderate to noisy. Candidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.
