is a 263 bed facility offering the community's only open heart surgery site, a complete line of women's and children's services and a complete line of medical and imaging services. We are a Certified Chest Pain center and recognized as a Primary Stroke Center of Excellence by the American Heart/American Stroke Association. North Alabama Medical Center's 24-hour emergency department serves as the primary referral center for major trauma cases in Northwest Alabama. Position Summary: As a Radiology Tech, you'll make an impact by interacting with patients of all ages using a variety of imaging modalities, explaining methods of procedure and ensuring patient comfort. You can also expect to: Work independently as well as a team member, assist coworkers and/or other departments and areas as needed. Analyze results and identify issues with the quality of imaging results. Take appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning a patient, repeating a procedure, enter, transmit, and reports scan results. Minimum Qualifications: Applicants should have a minimum of an associate's degree and or a baccalaureate degree from an accredited school. Additional requirements include: Current Radiation Operator Certificate in the state of Alabama Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days EEOC Statement North Alabama Medical Center
