Position Summary
Reporting to the production supervisor, the Line Attendant will support various production lines. They should be detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. They will help ensure all product meets the required specifications and ensure compliance with all quality and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.
The ideal candidate will work collaboratively, have a sense of urgency and knowledge of safety, good manufacturing practices and excellent interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
Position Responsibilities
Inspect boxes and liners, ensure they are not ripped or dirty Stack/pack/palletize twenty-five (25) lb. boxes of product Assist in transferring super sacks into wood bins Transfer boxes of nuts up to 25lbs into bins Build fiber bins Inspect bags, ensuring they are properly sealed and have appropriate code date Form boxes and trays for packing Stand, walk, bend, flex and frequently grip/reach/lift/pull with both hands. Ensure a clean and neat work area Assist in cleaning of machinery Ensure the proper quantity of bags are in a box or tray Perform other duties as assigned. Position Requirements
High school diploma or State issued equivalency certificate is required. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and related equipment. Ability to work flexible schedules, overtime and weekends during harvest season is required. Ability to climb stairs and work on elevated areas to perform clean-up duties. Ability to speak, read and write basic English. Ability to perform repetitive hand movement and work under industrial conditions. Ability to properly lift and carry up to 25 lbs. in a repetitive motion. Ability to focus on task by restraining from unnecessary talking and other distractions. Self-motivated while paying attention to detail. Be responsible on supporting company’s commitment to providing quality products and services with an emphasis on Food Safety, Legality, and Integrity. Knowledge and/or understanding of the following programs and regulations pertaining to a food processing plant: GMP’s Food Safety HACCP The pay for this role in the state of Californiais $18.81and is based on the position responsibilities and geographic location.
