Work model:
On-Site What you will do: Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on large equipment Perform preventative maintenance and predictive repairs to minimize downtime Fabricate basic metal parts such as guards, brackets, and shields Replace faulty wiring, switches, and relays (480V systems) Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications Coordinate with outside service providers and initiate purchase orders for parts and equipment Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and internal safety standards Participate in on-call rotation and respond to urgent maintenance needs What you will need to be successful: 3+ years of industrial machinery maintenance experience plus 1 year of technical school, or 5+ years of hands-on experience Experience working around 480V electrical systems Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Comfortable in confined spaces and around high-speed equipment Basic metal fabrication skills Preferred: automotive mechanical experience, MIG/stick welding, web-fed printing experience, and familiarity with ink pump systems Benefits overview: Health, dental, and vision insurance PTO 401k Interested and qualified candidates can contact Eric Peterson at (515) 225-7000 or email epeterson@thepalmergroup.com.
