Job Summary

W e are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated Corrosion Testing Specialist to join our Physical Testing Laboratory team. This entry-level position is ideal for recent graduates with a background in chemistry who are eager to gain hands-on experience in a manufacturing and laboratory environment. The successful candidate will conduct a variety of physical tests, maintain laboratory equipment and documentation, and support lab quality and compliance activities.

Job Description

Perform physical testing procedures accurately and efficiently, following standard methods and documented procedures Evaluate and interpret test results while documenting findings clearly Maintain laboratory equipment, including calibration and preventative maintenance Ensure a clean and organized laboratory workspace Support method validation activities such as gage R&R and measurement uncertainty Assist in long-term testing for the Quality Control Lab Cross-train on various equipment and testing procedures within the lab Troubleshoot issues as they arise and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders Support continuous improvement programs and lab accreditation efforts Follow all safety protocols and use proper personal protective equipment at all times Prepare and maintain required documentation and testing logs Shift: M - F 8am - 4:30pm Skills Required

Laboratory experience, either through coursework or professional work Familiarity with wet chemistry methods such as titration (colorimetric or potentiometric), pH, conductivity, salinity, specific gravity, and density measurements Basic understanding of spectroscopy and other analytical instrumentation principles Knowledge of quality standards (ISO17025/ISO14001) and industry standards (ASTM/ISO/MIL) Awareness of substances such as acids, bases, natural/petroleum oils, and their solubility General understanding of industrial products such as coolants, cleaners, phosphates, and surface treatments Strong skills in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Lotus Notes is a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently Demonstrated analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities Education

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (or a related science field) with 0-3 years of experience OR a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 8-16 credit hours in chemistry Pay Rate

$25 per hour
