Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: CRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:30 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum of 2 years required License: State respiratory care practice license and CRT or RRT through NBRC required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS required Must-Have: Pediatric, NICU, ED, and critical care experience required. Autonomous practice requiring strong communication and clinical skills. Description: Will accept CRT or RRT. Positions involve 36 hours per week. Shifts are 12 hours during the day. Candidate must have a minimum of 2 years of experience. Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are required. Wisconsin respiratory care practice license and CRT or RRT from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) are mandatory. Experience with patients of all ages including infants is necessary. Candidates should be autonomous in practice, utilizing strong communication and clinical skills. Responsibilities include managing 20 patients per shift, or 40 patients per day. The unit accommodates 19 inpatient rooms with a total of 13 beds, including 2 trauma beds in the emergency department. Services include rapid response and airway management. Tasks involved are ABG analysis, EKG monitoring, nebulizer and inhaler treatments, hyperinflation therapy, and chest physiotherapy. Invasive and non-invasive ventilation management is required, alongside CO2 and capnography monitoring. Suctioning and tracheostomy care are also essential functions. Candidates will work in a multidisciplinary environment. Interdisciplinary support includes various therapy and service personnel. Patient diagnoses include obstructive and restrictive airway diseases, acute respiratory infections, sepsis, ARDS, postoperative respiratory care, and neonatal airway management. Experience with special equipment such as ventilators and therapy devices is expected. This position requires adaptability and collaboration within the healthcare team.
