Administers medical substances for imaging or other procedures. Performs screening procedures for diagnostic interpretation. Coordinates patient flow and maintains procedure quality control. Provides clinical care efficiently and effectively using a high level of technical and organizational skills as well as critical thinking ability.Job Requirements:Education and Work Experience: Diploma/certificate from an accredited school of Nuclear Medicine: Required Five years' nuclear medicine experience: Required Licenses/Certifications: State Nuclear Medicine License: Required in CA and HI Registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologist (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine OR Certified by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist: Required in CA and OR Venipuncture certification: Required in CA and HI State Nuclear Med Tech (SNMT): Required Facility Specific License/Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQI BLS) certification: Required Venipuncture (IV) certification: Required ARRT-Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT-NMT) or National Nuclear Med Tech (NMTCB): Required Essential Functions: Assigns personnel to particular patients and patient care activities based on independent assessment of effective skill and ability utilization, while working to equalize assigned personnel work load. Prepares patient and radioactive isotopes for administration and performs procedures. Screens and recommends candidates for hire, promotion, discipline and other administrative actions.
