Cassena Care is seeking a payroll clerk to join our dynamic team of professionals.
Jobresponsibilities for payroll clerk:
• Verify timekeeping records
• Record payroll data in our software system
• Maintain payroll information by collecting,calculating, and entering data
• Update payroll records by entering changes inexemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title anddepartment/division transfers
• Prepare reports by compiling summaries ofearnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
• Provide payroll information by answeringquestions and requests
• Maintain payroll operations by followingpolicies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
• Maintain employee confidence and protectspayroll operations by keeping information confidential.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishingrelated results as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma (Bachelorâ€'s Degree in Accounting or related field preferred) Minimum one year payroll department experience preferred Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word Strong attention to detail required Knowledge of Smartlinx software a plus Knowledge of Collective Bargaining Agreements a plus Strong Analytical skills, strong personal computer skills Demonstrated competence in data collection and data input Extremely well organized Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
