A culture that celebrates and rewards your hard work and dedication What You Bring to SBHG: High School diploma or equivalent (e.g. GED, HiSET, etc.) required An associate's degree in nursing or social sciences is preferred. (1) year of service experience working as a nurse in a behavioral health field is required. (Clinical nursing school rotations may be substituted for a portion of work experience). (1) year of medication administration experience is required. Valid California Driver's License required Valid California LVN or LPT license required. Valid CPR certification required within 30 days of employment. How You Will Make a Difference: Provides direct nursing care. Visually and audibly observe, document in writing, and report orally or in writing the physical or mental condition to the Nurse Practitioner, Physician's Assistant, or Psychiatrist. Orders, prepares, administers, and documents the administration of medication for clients per the physician's orders. Confirms delivery of all ordered medication from the pharmacy. Provides basic medical care, including first aid and medical intervention within the scope of licensure as necessary for each client. Documents all services provided clearly and concisely within the Electronic Health Record within the timelines and framework established by Central Star. Ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, and clinical policies and procedures regarding medical care. Provides consultation to other program staff. Facilitates relevant psycho-educational groups with participants and family members.
