Pharmacy Technician Ii, Iv Room

Under the direct supervision of the pharmacy technician team lead and pharmacists, the pharmacy technician II is responsible for preparing unit dose medications, compounding sterile preparations, and delivering medication to patient care units. Responsibilities: Perform all pharmacy technician I responsibilities such as: Prepares non-sterile admixtures, including hazardous medications; Perform computer entry for missing doses, patient charges and credits, and other documentation; Deliver or restock medications; deliver pharmacist code box; assist in maintaining overall cleanliness and organization of work areas and maintaining a continuous level of readiness for inspection by external groups. Prepares parenteral products under the direction of a pharmacist. Utilizing aseptic technique adhering to USP 797 guidelines in accordance with policy. Ensure compounding/clean room areas and related equipment are cleaned, sanitized, and maintained in compliance with company policies and procedures. Checks and maintains inventory levels; checks for expired/unusable products and disposes of them properly. Performs job responsibilities in accordance with organizational and departmental policies, procedures, performance improvement objectives, and environmental and infection control standards. Performs other related duties as assigned. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Hourly Pay Work Experience At least 2 years pharmacy-related experience Req Education High school diploma or GED 20-hour ACPE accredited IV training course Licenses And Certifications Registration as a Pharmacy Technician by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy Registration Req National Certification with the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) Pref A Place Where You Belong We put our people first.
