Job Description Salary: Tri-City Group is currently seeking an experienced Shipping & Receiving Assistant for an immediate opening in Davenport, IA. The Shipping & Receiving Assistant will support the warehouse shipping and receiving ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all related tasks.
Main duties include, but are not limited to: Shipping and
receiving/unloading
trucks. Assist with checking in materials. Perform quality checks over materials received. Match materials with active purchase orders. Review customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and requisitions to identify items to move, gather, distribute, or ship. Track and investigate shipping errors. Processing items. Prepare barcode tickets and labels for daily receiving and production. Work independently with limited supervision, utilizing time efficiently. Maintain exceptional organizational skills in a high-volume warehouse setting Effective with multitasking, adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail. Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a warehouse,
shipping/receiving,
checking in materials, and performing inventory. Valid driver's license required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word. Prior experience driving a forklift is not required; we will train. Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Weekly Hours: Monday- Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM with a half-hour lunch. Hours can vary during periods of high demand, and overtime may be required as needed.
All job offers are contingent upon the successful completion of a drug screening test and, possibly, an MVR background check. Steel-toe or composite-toe shoes/boots are required prior to your first day. Tri-City Group is an equal opportunity employer.
